The mission of The Matthew Ahern Healing Arts Foundation is to support the healing arts by providing financial support through grants as well as low-interest loans specific to obtaining continuing education to individuals in the “healing arts”, which includes traditional and alternative practices.

Our journey began with a desire to honor the life and work of Matt Ahern, whose passion and remarkable commitment to the well-being of the human body and the human spirit left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him.

Matt’s passing in 2015 did not mean his work ended there. Through the formation of The Matthew Ahern Healing Arts Foundation we are carrying on the efforts that guided his life and ensuring his legacy of love and kindness is extended to others who represent the very best in the healing arts. From yoga professionals and therapeutic counselors to nurses engaged in clinical practices, our Foundation is dedicated not only to Matt’s memory, but to the work, the people and the practices that mattered to him most of all.

As a nonprofit organization, The Foundation is funded in part by tax-deductible donations as well as the sale of Matt’s music and other items available in our online store. The Ahern family has funded 100% of the Foundation’s administrative expenses and has matched every contribution received.
