First Grants: We have selected the first 3 grant recipients.

They are:

Debby Anderson – Debby, Matt’s girlfriend, studied yoga in India and is a certified yoga teacher, a Qualified Pletcher Pilates teacher, an Ayurvedic Educator and a David Elliot Certified Healer. The grant will be used to increase her knowledge of Ayurvedic holistic medicine.

Colette Davis – Colette was Matt’s Cardiac ICU nurse at University Hospital in Lubbock. We were impressed with her compassion and commitment to nursing as she skipped her day off after a grueling 12 hour days in the ICU to stay on Matt’s case. Colette will use the grant to help with her tuition as she begins to study to be a nurse practitioner.

Cristina Martinez – Cristina was an aid at Alzheimer’s unit where Caroll’s mother resided the last four years of her life. We were impressed with her dedication as she went above and beyond the call of duty, frequently spending her 30 minute breaks comforting Blanche. the grant will be used to help pay her tuition to nursing school.
