Grants will primarily be awarded to provide healers with funds needed to expand or enhance their healing arts skills. Healing arts will be broadly defined to include traditional practitioners (e.g. Nurses or Physicians) as well as alternative practitioners (e.g. Yoga instructors, Acupuncturists, Massage Therapists etc.) Grants may also be awarded to help provide healing services. For example, the Foundation recently provided a grant to fund a Yoga class one night per week for the cancer patients at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.
